It is not just being aground at the beach, not just being unsure about the next step, not just running out of money, not just Tom Hanks in Cast Away falling in love with a volleyball. Being stranded is more than being lonely or bored or both at the same time. It is about being in a space that is not yet cartographed, a time that still has no fixed chronology. Or rather, being stranded means to engage in revising the map by being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
